Doomsday “Death of Superman” Limited Collector’s Set (with $1.00 Cover Price)
The comic came bundled with the Death of Superman trade paperback and a 20″ x 26″ poster. Inside the shrinkwrap was a black card indicating the contents as “The Complete 7-part story of the death of Superman.” Although more often called the Death of Superman reprint, the enclosed card/label identifies this as the Doomsday Limited Collector’s Set and a UPC of 028074000481.
Inside front and back covers are blank. The rear cover is the 1983 Joe Shuster pin-up found in other reprints without Joe’s “signature” or date. Contains a full-page ad for Steve Rude’s World’s Finest trade paperback, a full-page ad for Batman versus Predator and a full-page ad for the World Without a Superman/Funeral for a Friend storyline and checklist. Appears to be the same reprint as the World Without a Superman TPB set but with the $1.00 cover price.
