50th Anniversary Direct Market & Newsstand Reprint
Reprinting the Superman story only. The inside front cover features a “Daily Planet” newspaper discussing Action Comics going weekly and Superman coming out twice a month. Very clear indicia with no room for mistakes identifying these two issues. Two page spread in the back showcasing the covers of a few key anniversaries of Action Comics. The last page is an ad for Action Comics #600, and the inside back cover is an ad to subscribe to Action Comics Weekly. The back cover is the very common Superman pinup without a signature or date.
Aside from the UPC box, there is no difference between the Direct Market edition and Newsstand edition. The shipping date as listed in Amazing Heroes #136 and the Library of Congress filings, is February 2nd, 1988.
